My first drawing workshop 'Introduction to Drawing Techniques'

My first drawing workshop 'Introduction to Drawing Techniques' was held last Saturday at Tindalls Art & Graphics in Cambridge. Through this workshop, I taught my students how to create an accurate artistic representation of a photograph through learning simple drawing techniques in graphite and coloured pencils. The main lessons they covered were drawing outlines that are mathematically accurate, understanding tonality, learning different shading techniques and working with colour. Students were invited to bring their photos to draw from or to chose from a selection provided. By the end of the workshop, they created one or two beautiful drawings that accurately reflected the images of your choosing.

I really enjoyed teaching this workshop. I had a great group of students and was impressed by the outcome of their drawings. Here are some photos taken during the workshop.
